I would like to know the minimum amount of water needed to create hydo-electricity. EG one cup of water linked to the equipment needed to convert to electricty. (I am not worried about the cost of the conversion equipment being prohibitive.) I am keen to know the minimum amount. Or is it more of a time factor. Would the rate of pouring one cup of water create more electricity if poured faster or slower.
Many thanks for reading this.

The manhole cover of one of the nuclear detonations in the '50s was launched into space due to the blast.... My idea was to bore a 1km+ tunnel, place a small nuclear weapon at the bottom with a cargo "bullet" held about halfway up. The acceleration would kill people but it would be fine for cargo... Anyone care to add any ideas, point out flaws, please, please point out flaws!!! Would it work?!?!

while it is dry I have gotten 3 estimates to get rid of the problem, 2 of them are very expensive, but guarantee no water infiltration. the other that is affordable guarantees no water infiltration through my front basement wall which is the one that is completely underground. I need a way to find out if water is coming through the other 3 walls. I live on a hill and the front wall is the highest point, the rear wall is almost a walk out, with less than 1 foot of wall below grade, the 2 side walls slope in grade between the front and rear. is there something I can spray on the wall that will show me if water is flowing through there?

I'm curious as to why certain devices require a clock signal for communication (ie. microcontroller interfacing with a smartcard reader) whereas other devices just require a data and ground connection (RS232). I notice that RS232 specifies a baud/data/stop bit parameter whwereas the smartcard/clock driven devices do not. What is the relationship between the two and how do they work? Thanks!

I'm wondering what it would take to generate electricity with solar power but rather than use panels, I want to use mirrors to boil water and turn a turbine. Say I wanted to turn a typical car alternator/generator with steam. I set up mirrors that shoot light into a collector, boil the water, spin turbine, turn generator. This seems possible and simple in concept. What kind of mirror footprint would I need. Would the whole yard be filled with 3x3 mirrors with a 10' tower? Thoughts?

With the domestic car companies struggling with foreign automakers, you would think design and competition would force truly unique designs. Isnt it time that someone re-think the definition of a car is as we know it? The average person cant work on one anymore. The more time goes by, the more and more designs and small breakthroughs are copied by all the manufacturers. In this day you can have custom cases for your cell phone, your computer. You have a whole auto accessory aftermarket offering consumers ways of making thier ordainary car look unordainary. Why dont we change the way cars are built on the molecular level? Build a very simple shell that is super easy to build and work on. And using a basic template, purchase your own custom body panels and engines... etc without having to buy a pre-assembled car with all the parts you dont want? Why hasnt someone thought of this yet?

One of Tesla's greatest ambition, was that he was determined to make electrical power equal for everyone. Especially the people in poverty. Before Tesla, all motors ran on direct current only, and that gave Edison and his "DC only" system the edge. Then Tesla created the alternating current motor, giving AC the final edge it needed. AC was found superior. First, because of the easy voltage transformation. Secondly, AC could be generated remotely at very high voltages. Thirdly, it could be stepped-down to accommodate local distribution and home use. While Edison's system depended on the generators being close to the users, and very large conductors still being needed between the two.

change whatever is needed. THANK YOU!!!!!
