I need the make something like a telescope with 11-15 different tubes that fit together snuggly and each have the same wall thickness. They need to all be made of the same kind of metal. The smallest should be no smaller than 1/2" in diameter.

What is the fringe effect, in particular for a parallel plate capacitor? What is the result of the effect? And what are we supposed to expect to see with respect to the electric field of the parallel plate capacitor? Especially at the edges? Please help!

I've got a BA in business and am interested and changing careers into engineering, probably civil engineering. What is the best way to go about this usually? Does anyone have the experience. I dont know if I'll have to go back and finish a bachelor's or get a few core classes and do the master's. thanks.

I was wondering why we don’t use this like plants to produce food and power for ourselves. Can we not figure out how to do it, is the payoff not big enough (ROI) or what? Why can’t we use it in nanotechnology to power the micro bio motors?

Perhaps that is 2 questions but I am more interested in why we do or don’t use this as it seems to be the way to go since it seems like the energy production of choice in nature.
