I am looking to take the FE Exam in the spring and the website is telling me to contact a board that represents my state, but it doesn't tell who exactly to contact or what to say to them. It really frustrates me more so that my teachers can't even tell me what to do.

Hi...

I am working on some architectural drawings and when choosing the correct way to represent timber, for example a timber kit section, I find that there are two principle types of timber it seems - wrot and unwrot timber.

Can anyone explain what each type is and the difference between them to me?

Thanks in advance.

The word "gage" appears in documentation regarding measurement of machine parts, for example. Is this just a USA-spelling of the word "gauge" (e.g. as in "pressure gauge") or is it a fundamentally different word. If so, what is a "gage"?
