while developing tidal turbines which wil be installed in the coastal areas for generation of electricity can we also join them rotor blades which wil be above water and develop electricity from fast moving streams of air? this will increase the outputof plant doubly!

Dear Pratik,

While the idea is good, think of the directions of the turbine blade rotation. For wave power, I feel the rotation is through a pelton wheel like arrangement and the direction will be parallel to the waves. For wind power turbine, the direction of the rotation of blades will be perpendicular to the wind direction. So, the same turbine may not be useful.
