I have been to Raccoon Mtn pumped storage for TVA in Tennessee where they can generate approx 1.8 MW and use it almost every day to shave peak load. Where are other units located and what ratings do they have?

This only happens with one tap in the house. I open the tap and the flow is strong. As the water becomes warm, the flow diminishes until it becomes a dribble when the water is hot. I must open the tap further to use it. It's like it is becoming blocked as the water heats. It happens irrespective of there being other taps being turned on in the house.

I have a large new gas hot water system that runs well. All other taps run normally.

Any ideas?

I want facts to support my case to change recruitment policy in respect of women in the so-far-male-dominated "heavy engineering" fields .

Please restrict your answer to civil, mechanical, electrical power, chemical and aeronautical engineering. Electronics and computers (hardware and software) are out of this question's purview.

I do not want answers like : "Of course women are as good as men in every respect", though that may well be true. Your answer must be based on solid facts about real women who have proved themselves in these fields and risen to high technical managerial positions in their organisations.

will it be easier or harder than college? like will you be solving equations and concepts on a piece of paper and sweat and have headaches or will you and some partners use a special computer with programs to do the job for you. im not saying it will be an easy job but will it be easier than studying at the library until 3 am in the morning trying to cram in 15 chapters for a physics final?

what are some characteristics that are important if i want to become an engineer?

for some reason i keep thinking im not good enough. im a junior in high school and im not outstanding in math but not horrible eaither. i like when i understand it but im kinda slow at it most of the times. sometimes ill spend 20 minutes (or more) trying to figure out a problem... is that a good characteristic? im taking pre cal now (well more like trig). its such a beeyotch!
i do like the hands on science part. experiments are fun for me but im not too crazy about the equation stuff with it.

is this a good choice for me???

In Europe the cycles are different than the US. Besides this, they also use two wire systems with an earth ground. How could I wire a three wire US electrical system to work with a two wire European system to get the 250V? What other diferrences would occur other than perhaps the motor running faster because of the cycle difference?
