I have a 6v Battery in an old tractor that can not be removed and I need to jump start it. I have a portable jumpstarter for a 12V battery. Is it possible to convert the voltage so that I can use it for my battery.

Go out and buy a fresh 6 volt battery or a charger that can handle it. You're playing with dangerous stuff trying to save a couple bucks.

You can divide the voltage with a motor speed controller, provided you can find one that will handle the current you are going to need (actually - the power).
It would be cheaper for you to spend $40.00 and go get 12V/6V switchable charger.
Don't try to jump directly with the 12V battery. It should be obvious that you may burn up some components this way if the fuses don't give way first.

You could hook up another battery in series with the tractor battery and your battery charger. The initial current will be high, but should not damage the charger. The second battery will be overcharged, but it should work.
You could also connect a resistance in series with the charger and the tractor battery. A couple of 10 ohm, 10 watt resistors from Radio Shack should do the trick
