Sometimes I can only get static on my alarm-clock radio, but as I move my hands closer to the top of it the signal clears, then becomes perfect when I rest my hands on top. My television is across from my bed, and while mucking around I realized that the picture would get better or worse depending on where I pointed my legs. Unfortunately, the clearest signal is in a very uncomfortable position with one leg suspended at an acute angle. Does the body act like an antenna? It's interesting but irritating to only get good stations on the radio with one hand planted firmly on top.
Thanks!

this has been a very annoying question for me
how does a camera flash circuit get 300 volts out of a AA battery
but i am pretty sure someone on here knows but i now know that inductors don't increase the current so it will have to be some thing else but what is it?

What is an example of a Mechanical engineering job? What do they do? I am wondering whether I should study this in college. I look at the courses I would be taking and they seem kind of dull. But I know that in the real world, you usually don't do they stuff they teach in college directly. So, someone that knows or is a mechanical engineer, what would I be doing on the job?

I've built a trebuchet catapult and have been firing plastacine down the corridor in the name of scinece. I'd like to know any simplish parabolic motion equatins? Oh and they'de be even better if they didn't need a value for initial velocity because I cant figure out how to work that out either.

Basically, I'd like to be able to predict where the projectile is going to land before it ever gets there and then to compare that with the actual experimental results that I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all from a very weary A2 level student.
