cure obesity by loosening your belt...

Think about it for a minute and tell me if you agree or disagree. I tend to agree, due to the concept of latent, or induced demand.

I have been given the following:

You are to construct and test a variable voltage power supply based on an LM317L three terminal adjustable output voltage regulator. The voltage should be adjustable from 1.2 to 12 volts, using potentiometer built into the breadboard. The test load will be a 12 volt 960 mW lamp.

You will be expected to:
Verify that the transformer supplied for this assignment can supply 15 volts at 6VA by testing it in an appropriate manner (loading).
Construct a bridge rectifier, understand smoothing, and be able to specify the maximum voltage that the smoothing capacitor will have to withstand.

I know it's quite complicated but ... anyway, if anyone knows anything about it or any website which is related to this experiment, please don't hesitate to answer.

I a currently a single mom seeking my computer systems engineering degree and beginning to wonder what the job market is ACTUALLY like. Thought about going for AS in IT as well but wondering if I should just get my BA in Computer Systems. I need the salary to be worth the bite i am currently taking. What is the actual job market? Don't want the hype! Don't want to graduate and need a reality check that I went for the wrong thing. Any help is good. Thanks

Fm=Maximum force
x= Total extension
but surley this differs when using different length springs and differing diameters. I need to know an equastion were i can plug in verying perameters i can then use a spreadsheet to work this info out for me.
