I'm a junior in high school in Tuttle, OK and I'm looking for a good engineering college. It doesn't matter to me if it's half way around the globe, the farther away from home, the better.

General single weld symbols ,I know and have the hand book

I know the potato trick. Sometimes I think it works, sometimes I dont. The other day I was welding with another guy on the inside of a 12x32 steel tank. We both got flash in our eyes but my eyes were killing me the next evening. The worst I ever got. That morning I couldnt open my eyes, couldnt sleep, couldnt stop them from tearing. I just wish there was something I could do if it happens again (besides be careful and not let it happen again). I have to work fast and in 12 hours I cant shield my eyes every time someone else strikes an arc.

The trashbin i'm referring to is the one put under a waste receptacle for a food wastes used in restaurants. We're currently using fiber glass, but im thinking of a way to make it cheaper but stil as durable. Plastics tend to be brittle and easily breaks, so it's not an option as of the now. Can someone help me? Thank you.

I'm looking into engineering while in the Air Force, and I wanted to get an idea of which one I want to do. So either any ideas of which ones you like, or where I could look would be very helpful.

I am supposed to reach a lux level of 750 in a room.

I have chandeliers and downlights installed.

Depending on where you are in the room, whether you are standing or sitting down; where do they mean when they say - recommended lux level is 750, does that mean right below the light, at desk level, standing right below a downlight, average light in the room?

if you know, pls inform me.

thanks

If there are any environmental engineers on here....
What is your career all about?
Do you enjoy it?
Was University/College difficult?
Have you had much success (i.e. finding employment, making money)?
Is it what you expected?

Just curious as I am trying to decide what I would like to do with my life and this is one of my possible choices. Thanks!

I heard that there is no way a van can detect whether someone has a TV in their house, what with all the other modern electrical equipment in the home. And that if they come to your door, you don't have to let them in. So why bother paying the licence fee? (I don't want to watch BBC, but I still have to pay them just to receive their competitors' services - it's a ridiculous system)
