The main concern about Nuclear Power is Waste Managment.
But Nuclear Materials ALREADY EXIST in nature.
Assuming that:

Uranium is the main Fuel of Nuclear Reactors
and
Plutonium is the main Waste of Nuclear Reactors

If: Uranium Half Life << Plutonium Half Life.

What is safer for the environment?
to have ore Uranium or Stored Plutonium?

What is more environmentaly safe?

Considering that Uranium already exists in nature and that
its half life is much much longer than Plutonium

Ok. Any ultrasound gurus out there. This Q is out of my realm. I am looking at a pipe weld with a solid cap that has a penetration of 1 mm in dept in the parent metal. I'm using a UT tester that is checking the lack of pen. The block that has a transducer in it that I'm using is perp. to the weld. How is the UT transducer looking at the joint ? Is it sounding at a Vert. or Hort.or cone, type picture, all I have is what we call a gate, If I see a spike thru the gate I have a flaw. I understand the theory of sound and echos. I have seen some surface features that has caused some false spikes or voids

anyone know about how big a Neodymium magnet i would need and what shape to hold the spring latch of a briefcase closed. I need to be able to pull the latch open. I

I was thinking something about the size/shape of a penny. Distance is about 1/4" It's a prop for a show so it doesn't have to work great. i'm going epoxy the magnet to the inside of the case and close the latch which is broken to hold the case closed.

I'm doing my senior year of highschool and I'm considering becoming an enineer. I have a 95% average accross the board and I find math and physics come very naturally as well I find them very intriguing. Also in Physics I'm constantly finding easier ways to do solve the questions than what is taught, which often lets me do questions twice as fast with half the possibility of error. I'm curious if I should become an engineer because I am also very social and have a strong creative side to me, I'm in all the dramatic arts, I coach improv, and I would consider myself a people person. I'm curious if engineering would be the right job for me, meaning I could utilize my math/science skills as well as my creative side. Also I would like to know what division of engineering sounds best suited for my character. Thank you for you help.

For a new observatory in the Andes at 17,000 feet, we need to provide power continuously for 4 months. Requirement is 208VAC, 3 phase, 10 kW. The site is accessible by large truck, but connecting to the power grid is out of the question. We are thinking diesel generators and large fuel tanks. Any suggestions out there? Thanks.

There's 2amp, 4 amp, and 10amp charger. Which charger to go with for powering an electromagnet of 208-230V and 50/60Hz ? What about 5 magnets in a series? Does it matter?

Can anyone help me on creating an automatic Fan (no electricity, which blade knots enough to produces some air) a good engineer can answer that without any difficulty, I hope you can answer that in time, it’ll be very useful to me, I tried to search but couldn’t find anything, just like an automatic wrist watch, no batteries but still moves.
