ancient star charts indicate;true north is not north at all .living on a sphere shaped star/or planet.one must use the heavens too find north south east &west.v;i;a corner stone stars.the question remains as is.is true north polar or astro phisics/star trek knowledge.

can we really believe in the creation of universe and these theories about stars and galaxies?

i personally don't. i only believe to an extent, that our earth is round. even its journey round the sun is believable, but not the milky way, or beyond that. it is pure exaggeration. what do you feel?

Why do people think there are peguins in Alaska?

Penguins are from the south pole. Penguins and polar bears are from opposite ends of the earth. It is more likely to find a polar bear running with lions in Africa that for a penguin and a Polar bear to be together.

Why do some states in the Midwest, (for example, Ohio) have selenium deficient soil?

Is it because of the prehistoric glacier activity? Do people that live there experience selenium deficientcy even though the U.S. has a national food market so most of the food they eat may not be grown in selenium deficient soil? My friend takes selenium supplements and is recommending them because we live in Ohio.

best info on geology of Northern Arizona?

we vacationed there, and now I'm full of questions I need answers to. TheRim, the upwelling of the canyons, the red rock of Sedona and Canyon deChelly, the 'petrified sand dunes', the lava fields around the volcanos... the thirty extinct volcanos in the area, petrified wood, just EVERYTHING about the area.... can you point me to the best info on the web or in books?.... this area is so interesting!!!....
