Everything on earth seems to revolve around the moon, weather it be tides, menstrual cycles, animal feeding times, etc...

yes.
Gravity as we know it would have a different spin on it, but there could be life without the moon. The earth has its own gravity properties, the things you mentioned are just regulated by the moons gravity properties effecting Earth's gravity.
Why do you ask? are you planning to steal it? If so, I want in on the plan.

That is a good question. You should watch the "Universe" series on the History Channel, which discussed this point. The moon does serve as a buffer for larger meteors that would otherwise hit the earth, and has probably incorporated smaller satellites the earth may have had in the long-distant past. The moon is unique in terms of its relative size compared to the planet it circles and the distance. Thus, we are not like Venus which has no satellite and Mars which has two dinky satellites that circle it relatively closely.

I have a question related to yours...
Please see:
"Hypothesis: The Earth began to be an inhabitable planet after the Moon’s birth?"
(in the above green line enter 4 words like:
hypothesis earth life moon & search).

But that was about the conditions to have had a planet not so hot as Venus. If we would have a planet like the Earth but without the Moon, it may have life, but with some differences. Many night animals would need much larger eyes, or sonar like the bats.

Definitely - moon or no moon. There are virtually countless galaxies with innumerable solar systems. It would be the epitomy of vanity to assume we are the only form of intelligent lifeforms in the universe.Looking at the age of the universe as guessed so far by science....... 10 Billion years and counting, there must be by far more evolved intelligent life out there than our mediocre level 1 evolution with its suicidal wars etc..... I assume there are civilizations out there that are millions of years more advanced in technology and spirituality. We have a lot to learn!
