Samples of the ocean floor show that the Earth's magnetic field undergoes periodic reversals, at several thousand year intervals. Since humans have developed technology there have been no such reversals, but some say it could happen again in 10-20 years or so. What will happen to all our computers and electronic devices if the magnetic field is reversed? Is there any reason to think there will be significant changes?

Here's what is happening where I am living. There was a 5.6 earthquake. However, the day before and that day, the sky was dark when all weather forecasts said it was gonna be sunny. Today, the sky was dark also and there was another earthquake. It was a small one though. Is this a coincidence, or is there something scientific?

ok so there was an earthquake in South Bay Area today yesterday and my mom was running for the door frame with my sister and I ran out and told them to just hurry up and get under the table because the table was right behind them.

so i was wondering what was the best place to stay at? would it be under the table? door frame? or just running outside? i know it would probably be best to do whatever is close to you but in some circumstances what would be better?

is it true that in strong earthquakes running outside would be bad because the road would start to split in half?

some people tell me, somewhere within the next 5 years there's going to be a big earthquake that will cause disaster in california and if not, the san andreas fault line (thats been overdue for some time) will split and sink hawaii, thus. creating waves of tsumani heading towards the state of california, and drowing many of us. does anyone know these for a fact or heard about it?

Sometimes the skinny earth worms are still "wiggling" just a bit. They are found about 5 feet from the sliding glass door. Right in the middle of the living area on the carpet. The place is only a few years old, and the seal around the sliding door looks fine. How in the world are these getting in? I wonder if we are draggin them in on our shoes or clothes and then they drop onto the floor when we get inside. BUT the only place we ever see them is in the living room. Someone suggested salt by the door to detract them. So gross. I hate worms.
