No. Black smokers are associated with mid-oceanic ridges, areas of active sea floor spreading. As basalt rises from the mantle it comes in contact with sea water, transferring ions from basalt to the water. Deep sea trenches are where oceanic plates are subducted under continental (and oceanic) plates. Deep sea trenches are the "opposite" of mid-oceanic ridges.
