Lets say I have a cylinder 3" Dia & 20' long. One is holding water & another one holding (for example) Corn Oil.

Would they both weigh the same or would the oil be heavier?

Well, it doesn't matter whether it's in a cylinder, a sphere, a box, or any other shape. The question is just whether any particular volume of oil is lighter, or heavier, than the same volume of water.

And oil floats on water, therefore it's less dense, meaning that for the same volume, the oil weighs less.

oil is lighter than water, hence it floating on top of the water.
