Basically, like the title said "...sulphuric acid clouds causing the world temperature to plummet by blocking out sunlight/heat" We've just been having a debate about it on IRC and half of us think it will, where as the other half think it will not. Thanks for your answers.

Flooding Danger

1. During a summer storm, 1 cm of precipitation that used to soak into the ground now falls on a house roof measuring 18x12-m, and from there down the gutters and into a drain. How much water in cubic meters (m^3) goes down the drain?
2. What if it rains to a depth of 1cm on 20 homes (18x12-m roofs), how much goes down the drain in m^3 and gallons?
3. What is the volume of 1-cm rainfall over an area of 401 km^2. What is it in m^3?
4. If urbanization brings precipitation to 90% vs 20% in undeveloped land, how much water goes into the ground, in m^3? (1-cm rainfall over an area of 401 km^2)
5. How can you solve this issue?

at school we are learning about oil, gas electricty solar energy and so on.
i understand oil was made millions of years ago by dead organisims and trees
and today where runing out . well not runing out by oil doesnt last forever
so i asked my teacher if oil is made by heat and pressure then since today is so modifyed with technology why cant we artifically make oil?
why cant we get funding to compresse and heat dead things and non recyclable garbage? why cant we?
i mean not take million of years but make oil to last a year. rather than taking it from the ground everyday?
why doesnt everyone use solar power, if we know the effects it has on the earth why are people still using it. i mean global warming has been around for years why hasnt there been change yet?. theres change but its slow.
someone out there care to explain to me.
please?

during the time of Moses'
One possible explanation for plagues and the parting of the water is the Santorini volcano eruption and tsunami that occurred sometime possibly coincident with the exodus.

According to tsunami experts, the massive volcanic eruption on the Greek island of Santorini around 1600 BCE could have generated a giant tidal wave or tsunami that struck the Nile Delta, parting of the sea, triggered the ten plagues during the time of Moses' escape from Egypt. Tsunamis are often preceded by the water withdrawing from the shore. A mega-tsunami caused by Santorini's volcano would siphon billions of gallons of water - not just from the shore but from connecting rivers and lakes - creating dry land for as long as two hours. This would give Moses and the Israelites enough time to cross, although maybe not 3 million of them. Heavier chariots may well have been bogged down in the mud. Evidence is based on findings along the rock beddings of shorelines in Africa and Egypt.
