There are so many diverse species that live in the oceans, and keep up the ecosystems everywhere. For example, there are tiny organisms which give off O2, and so 70% of our oxygen comes from the oceans.

Our oceans are such a beautiful part of our earth. Look at the life in the waters! So much comes from the oceans, we would not be the same without them. We need to do all we can to preserve every part of nature.

They give us somewhere to dump our sh*t and pretend it's disappeared and not there anymore.

Seriously though they are vital for life on earth. One of many examples is they help control and regulate our climates. The jet stream ocean current keeps the British Isles a few degrees warmer than they would be otherwise. Without the jetstream the British Isles would be under a metre of snow each winter like Canada and Norway on similar latitudes.

90% of earth's oxygen comes from algae in the ocean..I'de say that's the main importance.

If you had no Oceans we would have no rain, no rain = no life and that is just 1 of thousands of reasons....

It bring us not just food but SEAFOOD... U get your shark fins there too...

Actually i am not too sure... But it could have something to do with the moon as high tide and low tide is between the moon and the ocean...

They are the largest source of water on earth and provide the fresh water through evaporation and rains on land. they are the largest heat sink and help in stabilising the temperature of the planet. They provide many minerals, chemicals and marine organisms for our use.
