How is it that when you shave hair on your body, it grows only to a certain length, how does your body know when to make it stop growing and how does it know you cut it? Also they say the hair on our head usually only grows a certain length, why does it stop growing?

Calcium and muscle cramps?

I have heard that during or before a muscle cramp, someone can take a calcium supplement, and the cramp ends, or does not begin. Can someone explain the physiology behind this?

Does anyone hav a picture of a boweavel? How do I get rid of these?

I am 99% sure this is what I have found in my kitchen. Small black, does not fly or jump. About 1/16" and can show up anywhere. I have sprayed and cleaned my cupboards now 4X, put boraxo under shelf paper, and then even bombed my whole house, all within 3 days. I have caulked all shelves in my kitchen top and bottom, washed every can and dish., emptied everything and thrown away anything that was open. I even opened all boxed goods and rinsed all plastic packages inside. 1 Brownie mix when I ran it under water was wet, a very small hole was in it. How do I get rid of these?

a very serious inquiry about bear anatomy....?

this is not meant to be explicit or inappropriate. my friend's uncle went on a bear-hunting trip in alaska and is now displaying in his house something that he reports to be the "penis bone" (?) of the bear he killed. this is a serious anatomy question. do bears have bones in their penises...? do people or other animals have bones in their penises. help! i'm very curious. thanks!

In cloning, if we remove the genetic material of the cell, will it degenerate after repeated divisions?

It is said that in cloning the nuclear material of the egg is removed and inserted with nucleus of the donor. That's how they produce the identical twins. I am wondering what will happen to the principle of "differentiation of species" and will that genetic material degenerates after repeated cell-divisions?
