because it can help keep balance in the environment. Humans use many animal and plant products to cure diseases and do a lot of other helpfull things. We NEED certain animals.

I think that you really only need one reason: to prevent an extinction that might have been precipitated by the activities of humans.

I can give one; if ANYONE cloned a dinosaur, I guarantee a theme park like Universal Studios would write a check for any price to buy the baby dino and put it on display in their park. Money talks, dino's walk.
