This is not a scientific question. The Bible is an allegorical doctrine and Noah did not really exist. If one decides however not to listen to reason and take the bible literally, then the answer is "all of them".

If there is an answer to this question. its in the bible. but from my understanding of that book there was never any notation of how many species were taken aboard the ark. therefore if you (and I do say if) beleive the bible then this question is unanswereable. (aka there are no concrete numbers when It seems as though thats what you are asking for.)

If you dont beleive the bible then the answer is of no consequence anyway. or in other words why worry about something that didn't happen.

Wow. All those creationists around, and not ONE of them can answer this? I guess they haven't thought that part through.

Must be a good question.

And BTW, when the question is "how many species?" and several people answer "two of each" ... are they having a problem with logic, or just with language?

Two of each kind is the correct answer, no need for fish, most likely all young animals to make more room, only two of the dog kind, wolfs, jackals, dogs, foxes, etc.. would all be one kind same with cats and so on and so fourth. All those that did not fit would explain the great amounts of fossil layers laid down by the catastrophic flood.

Bedbugs, parasitic worms, fleas, spiders, rats, scorpions, snakes, but the winner is the Mosquitoes which transmit the malaria.

Not trying to be a smart alec. Unless these dangerous creatures evolved and just appear suddenly after the flood. Or are created by man's interaction with nature, or God just wanted to created these insects and animals to make our lifes a little more unconfortable. don't know. Or maybe God does not exists and we all just evolved? I don't know Im agnostic.

I think only the lord knows the answer to that question. However many they were, the real question would be how in the world did he fit them all in there? That is a question I am going to ask him when I meet him.

Since it didn't really happen, it's not possible to answer. And there is no way to prove that it did, and yes I know, but the bible is nothing but a fictitious story.
