Does anyone know of anywhere I can find contributions Hildegard von Bingen made to astrology? Everywhere I look for her it never shows her cosmological views, just what music she wrote and whatnot.

Watching the huge clouds of smoke when a space shuttle takes off just looks like a lot of pollution. Also their emissions when they are traveling around space. Isn't that bad for the environment?

But I can't find any info on it! Of course, I don;t imagine it will only be so close for a single day, but I heard on the news that on this full moon the moon will be closer to the earth that it has been is many many...well, moons. I was curious about the possible effects this willl have on earth, and am trying to find some info, but I've searched and searched (even on nasa!) and can't find anything. Do you have any links I may find helpful?

I don't understand how an object in space can accelerate. Isn't space a vacuum and therefore there would be nothing to 'push' against (no mass) so how can a object such as a spaceship create any thrust when its not necessarily pushing against any matter?

I was shown this doc. by a good friend who was a scientist (he has now passed). it was about the alignment of the planets with the sun and the effect it would have on our planet. It stated that the world would start to have more and deadlier natural disasters from May 2001, if you follow world events this is now happening.

I have heard that there are pockets of material following the earth in its orbit at 120 degrees and 240 degrees, and following Jupiter in its orbit at even intervals unaffected by resonant gravitational pulls of neighboring satillites. What is known of these areas of space? How much material is there? Wouldn't it be fairly economical to send an unmanned probe there?
