Nope... Colide means to hit something on your way... Fall involves gravity... here is problem :)...

Are you perhaps thinking of comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 which collided with Jupiter in 1994? Collide is just a word. You could also say it fell on Jupiter. That means the same thing.

I've never heard of comets colliding, or falling, for that matter. One Comet (Shoemaker-Levy 9) did collide with Jupiter, but such events are extremely rare.

They just go around the Universe.Collisions are very remote.
But when they go too near a star or planet it may loose some of its tail(consisting of small bodies) being attracted by gravity.
