Well, the planet in our Solar System with the longest year is Saturn with a year lasting for 24.46 Earth Years, followed by Jupiter which has an year that is 11.86 Earth Years long.

In the case of Mars, it's year is about twice as long as Earth's and lasts for 687 Earth Days.

Hope this answers your question okay.

Regards,

Zah

Mars has the longer year. A year is defined as the time it takes a planet to make one revolution around its star. Earth and mars have about the same rotational period, around 24 hours. It takes around 600 and some odd days for mars to make one revolution around the sun, and earth is 365, so two earth years is roughly one martian year.

Mars - It is farther from the sun so it's orbit is much larger.

Each day on Mars takes 1.03 Earth days (24.6 hours). A year on Mars takes 687 Earth days; it takes this long for Mars to orbit the sun once.
