A planet. Why is it a planet? Just look outside at night, what do you see? You probably see stars, those twinkly and sparkly things, real tiny. And then you've heard about the moon, which orbits around Earth, and moons only orbit around plants, which means Earth is a planet.

I'm sure you know the answer - you've heard people refer to "the planet" thousands of times.
If you think about what a moon is and what a star is, you'd realize the Earth is neither.
Or you could look it up in wikipedia if you have still don't know.

there is no stars. its a clever trick by all of he scientists. really the sun, moon, and all the other stars are just painted on the sky.
