It looks like part of a space craft or an artificial satellite.

I thought the CSM initially as well, but there's some structure at the lower-right and I don't think there's any way a picture of the CSM could have been taken at that angle, assuming this was taken in space. Looks like some sort of payload being offloaded from the Shuttle, unless the photo was accidentally shrunk and we're supposed to be seeing a UFO or something.

The image is so small its real hard to see it.

But it looks to me like a large telescope (don't know which one, but could be Palomar or the Schmidt) - they have truss supports that look like the white rods in the picture.

Its a very small B&W picture.It looks to me like a spacecraft booster..almost like the Apollo CSM

reminds me of the satellite in the Dish Network advertisement....the one that bumps off another satellite and says 'move over'?....
