It has no heat shields. It will just be free falling, assuming it slowed itself very quickly with retro-rockets to match the Earths rotation. It would be entering the atmosphere with theoretically 0mph forward motion.

Like me on this computer now, writing this question which will probably never be answered.
And if so, will we ever intervene with ourselves?

Have there ever been any stories of an astronaut getting disconnected and floating off to die in space while performing a spacewalk or other routine maintenance? This thought sprang to mind while reading a recent article of the astronaut who heaved two pieces of debris into space.

I've read everywhere that the best times are the 12th and 13th, but I'd like to book a stay at a campsite on the 11th (which is a more convenient Saturday) to watch instead. Assuming the same weather conditions as Sunday, will there be anything to see? How much? When on Saturday night will be the best to watch?

I've noticed that in alot of pics of space....I don't see any stars. You would think that since here on Earth you can see plenty of stars burning bright, but why in space aren't there any stars....I mean at least not in the pics. I think its a huge conspiracy by the government.

I have been doing a little bit of reading about this, so im in no way an expert on the subject (yet). But while looking at the equation E=mc2 I am thinking that it might not be possible to get to the speed of light. My reasoning behind this is as an object gains speed it also increases in mass. So if someone or something were to reach light speed it would reach infinite mass. Now as you gain mass you also start to generate gravity right? So if you were reach an infinite mass would you collapse under your own gravity?

Do you think its feasible or feasible soon? If so, do you think it will or should be constructed and when? 15-20 years? Our lifetimes?

ok last night i was at my friends house we were having a bomb fire and i looked up in the sky and saw this red light up there it was pretty big and it seemed to be close like the height a plane would fly, well i didnt think nething of it at first i just thought it was one of those red tower lights but then it looked like it moved to the right a little bit then i said something and we all watched it it stayed in the same spot, it looked kind of like it was blinking or flashing just a little bit tho not alot, well it just sat there i took my cell phone out and recorded it but its not that good of a recording but any way it stayed in the same spot just a big red light still, and then all of the sudden it just dropped straight down not sideways like a shooting star would drop but straight down and it disapeared???? is there any logical explanaition???????
