You mean the "parallel universe" thing? An interesting sci-fi concept, but I doubt it's real.

I am a clone I am not alone - even this dogrole that falls from my pen has just been written by another hundred men.
Quoted from a song lyric - there is activity in other galaxies - its that we do not have the technology nor correct lenses capable of seeing anything in other parts of the vastness of space. Humans are self centred and think of themselves and not the universal arm. If we set aside our egos and get involved in bulding structures to guide our knowledge towards these spaces then progress might be made - though for now its all computers and no eyes for the real deal out there.

if we are it is in the theorized but unproven area of alternate dimensions and/or // universes. will we ever intervene? who knows?
we'd first need to be able to prove both or either of those areas, then successfully move between there and here. intervention would be a two-way street, i'd hope, and just think of the
uses then for wireless internet connectivity.

Ooohh I love parallel universe questions! It is such an intriguing idea! I've heard that this parallel universe is not far, distance wise. It may be as close as our shadow, just humming along on a different plane of existence, another dimension.
PBS Just did a series on string theory and quantum mechanics....The Elegant Universe...it is out on DVD...look into it!

The fact that the event is occuring somewhere else in space means that at least the coordinates are different, and so the events cannot be "exactly" identical, by definition.
