Everywhere I have looked you can get an 8'' or 10'' Telescope for like no less than $2000.00. I was thinking more along the lines of $1000.00 maybe. Payment plans would be really helpful.

From NOAA's National Ocean Service, one of the bulges is created by the pull of moon gravitational field; the second bulge is created by earth's inertia.

How does the inertia form the second bulge?

How fast would it take you to get there in a normal rocket if you ignore gravity, the fuel needed to get there, and the velocity needed to get out of the atmosphere of earth. That is what I want to know.

Any one think of a good reason why north is north and not south? I'm thinking specifically of the globe and common knowledge of "right side up". I was thinking of this because I realize our world spins counter clockwise if the common way is right. Was just thinking that it should naturally be clockwise instead. Wonder if in the old days they ever had an upside down standard?

If we really landed on the moon almost forty years ago, how come we haven’t been back? I would think that with all the technology that we have now days it would be no problem to go back and explore more. It seems that all you hear about any space missions is that the shuttle exploded or that they have been delayed, because NASA can’t work out all the bugs. I am by no means a conspiracy nut, in fact I really don’t know a lot about the space program, it just seems to me that we should be able to make it back. What do you think?
