I'm sure many of you are familiar with his work. The PBS TV Series "Cosmos" was a huge success in the early 80's. If you have never been able to see these shows I recommend doing a search on some Video sites like Youtube. I was wondering besides the "Cosmos" series what some of your favorite works by this great man are. My personal favorites are his books "Pale Blue Dot" and "The Demon haunted World".

the same side of the moon, but it doesn't go into detail. I find this very interesting and would like to know how this is possible. How do we know it's the same side? Does anyone know? And if we always see the same face of the moon from earth, if we were on the sun would we still see the same face?

Thanks in advance.

Besides the fact that they would be clearer. Or would the fact that they could see more stars make the constellations harder to pick out?

We see into the past by observing stars billions of light years away, as they appear as they were when the light left them. But these stars are also constantly moving, accelerating away from us, so, are we also seeing them in the position they were billions of years ago? As this is nearly back far enough to the Big Bang, when stars were clustered more closely together, shouldn't we be seeing them like that, now?

Given the current state of technology, terraforming isn't likely in our lifetime however do you think that given time man will be able to inhabit other planets or that we will be confined just to Earth? Will we ever be advanced enough to carry the population to another world and survive there with similar conditions to Earth or is that too much to ask? Possible sites mentioned include the moon of Titan and perhaps Mars or the Moon?
