An assignment question that I don't really understand, any help would be great. During the night, a planet rises above the horizon, travels across the sky and sets below the
horizon. In which direction would you have to look to observe the planet when it is highest in
the sky? Would an observer in the southern hemisphere look in the same direction?

If so, why could they do in in the 60s but not now? Why aren't people going there all the time and showing us great clear colour images of it? I just don't think it was possible back then, I have no doubts that they could do it now if it is possible to go that far and survive in such an atmosphere.

Many people have posted questions suggesting that the Apollo landings were faked. I have always reponded by pointing out the vapidity of such claims, and directing people to the many excellent sites like Bad Astronomy, which debunk the Fox documentary.
However, I have now come across these pictures, I don't know what to say. Please check them out, and say whether you agree that NASA should just 'fess up now to save further embarassment.?

What chances are that we will find anything unearthly on mars that could be used in some usefull way? Like some kind of strange new metal like substance that could withstand heat better. Also, why haven't we already gotten tons of mars samples yet? Why is it so hard to make a machine that flys to mars and takes lots of stuff back? Wouldn't something like that be easy?

Please come up with a evidence to support it, because I can shoot down just about any theory for it. I'd ove to see someone come up with a logical explanation.

I saw this on TV, the moon looked like the Arizona desert, no stars in photos..the flag waving with no wind on the moon and no blast crater under the "Eagle" after it landed...makes me think...just an American Morale booster at the time..with the Vietnam War, trying to beat the Soviet Union in space, so what do You think...
