Today is October 6, 2006, and the moon glows brighter today then I could ever remember. What could be the reason for this? It seems to shine a pure white of light as if it was a spot light. Could this have something to do with the sun or the aliments of the planets?

its entetaining, but we pretty much have'nt learned nothing of significant importance, seems like a huge waste of money, billions are spent on this and we arent really bennefiting from it in any way

I'm a Scorpio, but I don't really think I act like one at all except for the fact that I can be very secretive.

I don't believe in astrology though.

What about you?

To better understand the theory of the Big Bang, can someone tell me exactly "WHO" but the big bang here? like, who made the big explosion? how did it get here? i mean, it just couldn't happend and how can such a violent explosion make such a pretty world we live in today? how could a big explosion make life? gravity? atoms? and how could the explosion be so perfect that makes the planets revolve around a sun perfectly, and earth and the sun are at perfect distance between ejother so that we wont burn or freeze?.. what are the chances of that? just think of how the human body works, the brain..Its all just to perfect to of happend by an enourmouse explosion... please someone explain to me!

Ok, so it is said that space is infinity.. (by most people, excluding the big bang therory) than, that would mean that if space is infinity, then there will be an infinite amout of stars, planets, moons, galexys, and an infinite possibilties of other life other than us?

Hey, I study Astronomy at GCSE level and have recently studied black holes. I have, of course, come across the normal theory of what a 'black hole' is - a star which has died and is so dense, and has such a strong gravitational force, that light simply cannot escape from it. But, after reading an Astronomy textbook written by Patrick Moore, I have come across another, slightly different theory for it.

It states that when a star (with a mass 8 times larger than that of our own Sun) dies, it collapses, extremely violently, and keeps doing so until the rate of its collapse exceeds the speed of light - thus being faster than light itself and not alowing any to escape. The nearest black hole similar to this is said to be Cygnus X-1, 6500 light-years from the Solar System.

I cannot find any other reference to this theory. Are black holes caused by strong gravity or bloody high speeds? Or have I just mis-interpreted the text?

Atheists often apply Occam's razor in arguing against the existence of God on the grounds that God is an unnecessary hypothesis. We can explain everything without assuming the extra metaphysical baggage of a Divine Being.

How did an Iranian-American (Muslim) space tourist prayed in International Space station (ISS)? (On earth all Muslims face towards west and then they pray but, ISS always keeps on rotating).
