There is gravity on the moon, it just has less strength than the earth's. The strength of the force of gravity depends on the "mass" of the object ( in this case the moon ). Since the moon is much smaller than earth, it's gravitational pull is much less ( but still there !!) . The planet jupiter which is much larger that the earth has a greater gravitational pull. If we were on the planet, we would weigh so much we would be unable to walk. The sun which is the most massive object in oyr solar system also has the strongest gravitational pull and is able to keep distant objects such as pluto and comets within its orbit.

Ahhh Sir:
You have entered a question which apparently begins with a mistake.
There is gravity on the Moon, only it it less than the gravity we have here on the Earth.
Recall please when astronauts hopped off of the lunar lander onto the Moon's surface... They went down onto the surface. They did not float away as they would have if the Moon had no gravity. The lesser amount of gravity enabled the moon walkers to take small leaps and move much farther in doing so than they would have on the Earth. I seem to recall that being rather amusing to them at the time.
The Moon is much smaller than the Earth. That is the reason for its lesser force of gravity.

Of course there is gravity on the moon! It's around 1/8th that of earth's gravity, I believe - though a nagging thought says it might be 1/6th. But, whatever it's value, it's there. And if it were not, the moon could not have any effect on the earth's seas, hence lunar tides would not occur.

There IS gravity on the moon. Any object, no matter how large or small, has gravity.

why is everyone saying that there isnt gravity on the moon, we have been to the moon, i have pictures from www.nasa.gov to prove it, thi is why Neil Armstrong jumps up and comes back down and this is why we have ocean tides (actually the gravitational pull between the earth and the moon creates ithem)

Well if there is no gravity on the moon but there are rocks on the moon maybe they are all like magnetite rocks here on earth and stick together magnetically

Think about it, if there was no gravity on the moon why didnt neil armstrong just float away into space as soon as he got out of his landing craft.
