Being a Florida resident, I hear on the news constantly, Nasa is going to try to launch tomorrow, nope it's suspended, etc. My question is stated, but also I want to understand it's purpose. I'm aware of individual experiments, but how do they have any substantial progress on health issues or science issues? Did we just develop NASA to remain competitive with Russia? I have no knowledge of this issue, that's why I'm genuinely inquiring about it.

I heard there is a telescope that you can practically see into someone's back yard. They use something like it on the news for the weather, but I think there is one that is better. I also heard that there is a website that you can use to view things on earth straight from the the space telescope. I may be mixing up facts...Can someone please clarify my confusion?

I'm writing this for an essay, hoping it will add an interesting twist. Usually, I don't have any trouble thinking outside the box, but I wanted more opinions on this one. Wouldn't the Earth be in the 1st dimension (a line) then?

Also remember that the Sun is over a hundred times bigger than our planet. To reach the sun it would take over three and a half years to reach it. Our space shuttles tavel at 27000 mph with the gravitational pull of each planet it passes.

I heard that Buzz Aldrin became 'odd' after his walk on the moon, triggered by an emotional or religious breakthrough, from seeing the earth from so far away. Has anyone heard this and is it confirmed? Did he have a spiritual or emotional upheaval?
