I'm writing this for an essay, hoping it will add an interesting twist. Usually, I don't have any trouble thinking outside the box, but I wanted more opinions on this one. Wouldn't the Earth be in the 1st dimension (a line) then?

If you mean, "If all the points on the surface of the earth were moving at the same speed as the earth spins", then that means that the earth would be in the form of a cylinder. All the points on the earth's surface would be the same distance from an imaginary axis down the middle. The earth's surface moves slower and slower as you get to the poles, because they are closer and closer to the axis on which the earth turns. Think of two points, one at the equator, the other 1 foot away from the pole. Both turn at one revolution per day. But one moves about 24,000 miles per day, and the other moves about 3 feet.
