One serving of Muesli breakfast cereal contains 4 grams of protein and 30 grams of
carbohydrates. One serving of Multi Bran Chex contains 2 grams of protein and 25 grams
of carbohydrates. A dietitian wants to mix these two cereals to make a batch that contains
at least 44 grams of protein and at least 450 grams of carbohydrates. If the cost of Muesli
is 21 cents per serving and the cost of Multi Bran Chex is 14 cents per serving, then how
many servings of each cereal would minimize the cost and satisfy the constraints? (Hints:
Formulate the problem as a linear programming problem and draw a graph to represent this problem and find
the minimum cost)

i feel so dumb when i ask these questions all the time, but here it goes:

Rectangle ABCD has vertices at A(4,7), B(3,1), and C(-3,2).
i have the equations for AB and BC, but i have to find one for CD and AD as well, and I'm not sure how to find the vertice for D if i even have to. I have to find the equation of the line that contains CD and find the equation of the line that contains AD.

There is a kindergarten building next to my school. Nuns used to live in the upstairs of the building. The teachers believe there is a ghost in there because when they are alone in the building they hear foot steps. Today me and my friend when to the bathroom upstairs in the building.(which quite creepy) We were the only in there. When I was washing my hands (my friend was right next to me but facing toward the stalls) when I here a door opening and closing. My friend told me to turn around because the stall door was opening a closing by itself. I turned around and then it stopped. Me and my friend think there is a ghost nun living in the building. Next time we go there we want to try to make contact with the ghost to prove there is really a ghost. How do we make contact with the ghost?

So at any rate, can anyone figure this out? My dad and I tried for like half an hour and finally gave up! We got it a few steps down and plugged in some sample numbers and proved that it worked, but we just couldn't get it to where one side was exactly the same equation as the other.

Anyone wanna' give it a shot?

Hey! I've been trying to work on this vectors worksheet lately. Here it is:

1. http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/9427/70466397yk4.jpg
2. http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/2572/58282826kh9.jpg
3. http://img490.imageshack.us/img490/8449/72000225yt9.jpg

I got many answers, but I was unable to do (or was not sure about) the ones with stars next to them (#4, 7, 10, 12, 14, and 20). I'd really appreciate if someone explained them to me. Also, if someone has the time, and heart to look over my other answers and tell me if I'm correct or not, I'd be more than grateful.

Thanks for any help! :]
