Two point charges are separated by 6 cm. The attractive force between them is 30 N. Find the force between them when they are separated by 24 cm.

Given: 30N = F = e1*e2/(4*pi*epsilon*(6cm)^2)
Ask: e1*e2/(4*pi*epsilon*(24cm)^2)?
Answer: e1*e2/(4*pi*epsilon*(24cm)^2)
= e1*e2/(4*pi*epsilon*(6cm)^2)/16
= 30N/16
= (15/8)N
