Research is being conducted on the Human Genome and in Genetic Engineering, it might soon be possible to create a "made to order" baby or detect and correct flaws in DNA of adults. What problems or benefits do you see in these possibilities?

What do you think?

I don't believe that would be right. People with disabilities and disorders have an impact on other people, we wouldnt all want to be the same.

I saw a small owl (I would say 6-7 inches tall) that was all pale grey with a lighter colored facial disk. I have been trying to find something that looks like it online, but can't find anything with pictures....

Anyone have any idea what it might be, so that I have some idea which direction I should look in....

I have lived here 35 year and never seen an owl - so this is kinda neat, I would just like to figure out what it is....could it be a young version of something else? I have no idea how fast birds grow.

Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks a bunch

Do fish sleep? I'm talking about the ones that live in rivers. If they sleep, wouldn't the river just wash them out to the ocean?

Logically, planets don't NEED oxygen/water to support life, if we don't know about an alien yet, how do we know they need oxygen? what if they have some super advance organ that allows them to breathe hydrogen or some unknown gas?

And out of all the planets out there, it's hard to believe a 1 out 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 chance of earth being the only planet with life....
