my question is...i want to make it seem more superior than what it seems. ive never put my all in science projects, and sorry, i dont have enough time to put much...

Ok these 2 i had the most difficult with.

1- Suppose you have to hold a box of mass 10 kg against a wall so that the box does not slip. The coefficient of friction between the wall and the box is 0.70. What must be the minimal force you have to apply?

2- 3 masses m1 = 10 kg, m2 = 15 kg and m3 = 20 kg, are pulled with a force of 166N across a table. A coefficient of friction between the table and boxes is 0.12.
(theres suppose to be a pic but i couldnt get it on here)

a- Calculate the acceleration of the masses
b- Calculate the tension of T2
c- Calculate the tension T3

numerous studies shown that IQ scores have been increasing, generation by generation, for years. The increase is called Flynn Effect, and the data indicate that the increase appears to be about 7 points per decade. To demonstrate this phenomenon, a researcher obtained an IQ test that was written in 1980. At the time, the test was prepared, it was standardized to produce a population mean of 100. The researcher administers the test to a random sample of N=16 of today's highschool students and obtains a sample mean IQ of M=121, with a squared standard deviation of 6000.

Is this result sufficient to conclude that today's sample scored significantly higher than would be expected from a population with a mean 100? use a one-tailed test, with alpha level of .01

We found 4 of them together. Here is a picture:

http://i19.tinypic.com/6h44t8w.jpg

I THINK that is a tail, not a mouth (because it doesn't appear to have a jaw). It is small, about as long as my hand.

Found all four washed up in the Atlantic in Eastern Canada (so starting to get chilly as it is fall)... if that helps at all?

Here's a link to one review of the TV show on Lifetime called America's Psychic Challenge.
http://www.commonsensemedia.org/tv-reviews/Americas-Psychic-Challenge.html

The show puts proported psychics in test situations and records the results. If you've seen this show, I'm interested in hearing your opinions about the techniques that are used to test the participants. Do you feel they are stringent enough? Are they too tough? Does repeated success in the tests give an indication or proof of psychic ability?

Finally, for those who are more aligned with parapsychological research, which skills do you feel are being tested? Does the presence of the testing moderators give an advantage to specific psychic abilities in the tests?

This question is posed to both skeptics and believers who have seen the show, so please be respectful in your answers. Thanks!
