the point of snow??
Apart from making people cold and wet what purpose does it serve? could we use section 5 of the public order act to take its stereo and order it to one of the poles where it wont make a nuisance of itself?

I know this one... I know this one......... I was on my daughters newspaper delivery round, she started in the summer, but as the winter drew in, she wouldnt get up, so haha, muggings took over, anyway, seven days a week, I dragged this much too heavy newspaper bag, around the streets, long before all sane people were up, and I felt pretty dam miserable, cold, wet, and it was still dark! To be honest, we needed the money, anyway, it was horrible. When i got to thinking, I just cant do this anymore, lo and behold, it started snowing, light at first, but then real heavy! Oh how it cheered me, I got to be the first one to step on it, it was quiet as could be, really lovely. So, that is why we have snow, to cheer me up!

A covering of white is a great reflector of heat from the sun, so it cools us down on the small scale, and cools us down on a large scale. Don't knock snow.

a little known fact is that snow contains nitrogen which is necessary for plant growth. so when it melts the nitrogen is entrapped in the earth and helps the next years crops. this is not true in the ocean. but i suppose it could help the phytoplankton.
