Consider the following balanced net ionic equation:
3SO32- (aq) + 2 CrO42- (aq) + 10 H+(aq) 3SO42- (aq) + 2 Cr3+ (aq) + 3H2O

How many grams of Na2CrO4 are theoretically required to completely oxidize 37.8 g of Na2SO3

I basically set it up like this:

37.8 g Na2SO3*(1mol Na2SO3/126g Na2SO3)*(2mol Na2CrO4/3molNa2SO3)*(162g Na2CrO4/1mol Na2CrO4)=32.4 g Na2CrO4

I am trying to reply to the posts I made previously. I searched the entire page for an edit or reply. I just couldn't find one. I also couldn't rate the answers. It says I should be level 2 for that. I won't be able to reply to this post too. How do I reply to posts in my own thread? Yes, there is no edit or reply button in my post and I am in level 2, incase this information can be of some use to you all!

I stay up at night watching the history channel...maybe I shouldn't, but the science revolving the "apocolypse" occuring in just 5 short years scares me...not because Im not prepared, but because of the possibility and not knowing for sure. Its almost like being diagnosed with terminal illness and knowing you will die before you are ready, and having to plan this last few years. What do you think?? What will you do??

The Russian Znamya 2 was a 20-meter wide (flat) mirror, launched in 1992. It was
designed to test the feasibility of illuminating parts of the Earth’s surface by reflecting
sunlight from orbiting mirrors. Znamya 2 was deployed (for a few hours only) near
the space station MIR, orbiting at an altitude of
∼ 390 km.
(a) Calculate what size spot on the Earths surface was illuminated by Znamya 2.
(b) Assuming the mirror was optimally positioned so that it was
∼ perpendicular to
light from the Sun, how much solar energy did it receive per second ?
