Well, I already know that Riemann proved that a conditionally convergent infinite series can be rearranged to converge to any real number as well as diverge to either positive or minus infinity. But specifically how is this done in an example? For example if I want the alternating harmonic (which "usually" converges to ln(2)) to converge to 5, how can I rearrange the terms?

In addition, does anyone know of any conditionally convergent series that are NOT alternating. It seems to me from the definition that it doesn't always have to be alternating to be conditionally convergent.

But why does 69.9 cm become 0.699? Why do we divide it by 100?

Terephthalic acid is an important chemical used in the manufacture of polyesters and plasticizers. It contains only C, H, and O. Combustion of 19.81 mg terephthalic acid produces 41.98 mg CO2 and 6.45 mg H2O. If 0.242 mol of terephthalic acid has a mass of 40.2 g, determine the molecular formula for terphthalic acid.

SoI tried to figure out if 19.81mg = 41.98 mg CO2 and = 6.45 mg H2O then it's 2.119131752 times the acid for CO2 and 0.3255931348 times for H2O then 1 mol = 166.1157025g
then CO2 = 30% C and 70% O
and H2O = 11% H and 88% O
Then it's C9H6O18
But that's not correct can you help me?
What is the answer? and can you explain how you got it please.

How do scientists know that distant galaxies are made of matter and not antimatter?

Antimatter has identical properties as matter so it could form stars and planets too. Light emitted by antimatter stars is exactly the same as light from matter stars. The only thing that we receive from other galaxies is their light. So how can we know if distant galaxies are made up of matter or antimatter?

Can anyone help me please? The bp of ethyl alcohol is 78centigrade and fp is -115centigrade. Then i also have to make a formula to convert from celsius scale to the ethyl alcohol scale PLEASE HELP (T.T)

I seem to recall learning somewhere that it's not electrically possible to measure the voltage across the secondary of a transformer. However the more I think about it the more I can't quite figure why that would be so, and I am really just curious as to weather it's true at all and if so why exactly it's not possible?
