Submarines can dive from the surface of the water to depths of up to 1,200 feet, then can rise to the surface again, but why can they do this over and over again? When they put water in the compartments to sink the sub, where does the air go? When they pump out the compartments to rise to shallower depths, where does the air come from? After all, they are under water. So, how is a submarine able to do all of this?

Also, can anyone help me find a diagram from a website that explains all of this?

Since more than 90% of icebergs and ice caps are actually under water even thought they look big from the outside, why is it that if they melt the water level increases?

when ice forms water expands. because of the oxygen. (kind of like when u put a bottle of water in a freezer for too long, it explodes)

so if that ice were to melt it would in fact take up less room would it not?
then wouldnt water levels be decreasing?

1. The following table shows the fnc: G=f(t)
t 1987, 1990, 1993, 1996 ,1999
f(t) 53, 70, 73, 74, 81
(the numbers correspond to their respective years.)

Estimate f ' (1999).
Then,
Use the estimated value of f ' (1999) to estimate f (2005).

Please tell me how to set-up and solve this problem.

c) 3 cosxcotx + 7 = 5 cscx
d) 2 cos^2x - cos x = 2 - secx

Also, are there any other theories of how the universe was created?
And the Big Crunch theory is the most popular theory for 'the end'. But do we know for sure that the universe is going to collapse into itself (like penrose and hawking proved and not like Einstein said that it 's gonna miss itself and expand once again) and not keep on expanding and eventually fall apart etc. ?
And if the Big Crunch does occur what do u think will happen?
(facts, personal theories)
