2x^2-35=15 add 35 on both sides
2x^2-35 +35=15+35
2x^2=50 devided by 2 on both sides
2x^2/2=50/2
x^2=25 take square root of both sides
x= 5, or -5

It probably should read:
2*x**2 - 35 = 15 or x**2 = 50/2=25 or x = 5

2x2 – 35 = 15
Transpose - 35 to the other side of the equation:
2x2 = 35 + 15
2x2 = 50
Divide both sides of the equation by 2
x2 = 25
Find the square root of both sides of the equation:
x = 5
