Source Of Energy For Plants

They use the energy from the sun to charge electrons from H2O molecules that are split within the chloroplasts. So, more precisely, their energy comes from, for now ignore the whole process of carbon fixation, the charged electron particle that flow towards and electron acceptor(oxygen). So, I think that it s important to recognize that water does have a lot to do with the harnessing of energy. To say the "sun" is only accurate in that it provide energy to electrons which then convert solar energy into proton motive force/ an electrochemical gradient.
