How do you determine the chemical equation of a acid?
For example nitric acid is HNO3 H2CO2 is carbonous acid.

How do you know what subscript to put? I know for a acid you always put the H and i know what the next two letters are if its nitric, carbonous ect. but what about the subscript?

Also was does the -ous and ic mean? You could have a carbonic and carbonous acid? How are they different?

Can some explain to me how this works in simple terms thanks.

Can you please use an example with sulphuric acid?

If humans at one time could tracel at the speed of light and made their way across the galaxy, then the world wich they have left would be completely diffrent then the world at which they returned. If this is the case it answers many of the unaswered questions from the items that we have found from the past. Such as the Crystal Skulls from the Myans and the Pramids found across the world. If the world at one time was advanced and was hit by a crater or such, it would change the axis. The world at which we are walking now was at once the artic and the artic at one time was the Rainforests of yesterday. When Humans are displaced they make what is comfortable to them and what they know. This is why we find Pyramids across the world. If you lost everything you would still build a house and a bed however you would have lost the ability to create the elaborate creations of which you once had. Just Think about it.

Okay, to make it easy, the numbers in the problem are 1, 3, 12, 693.645, 12, and 734. How many sig figs do I round the answer? I know it's usually with the least significant value, right? But would that be the 1 and only round to one sig fig? It's probably a really dumb question, but oh well.

A mixture contained zinc sulfide, ZnS, and lead sulfide, PbS. A sample of the mixture weighing 6.17 g was reacted with an excess of hydrochloric acid. The reactions are

ZnS(s) + 2HCl(aq) ==> ZnCl2(aq) + H2S(g)

PbS(s) + 2HCl(aq) ==> PbCl2(aq) + H2S(g)

If the sample reacted completely and produced 1.051 L of hydrogen sulfide, H2S, at 23oC and 745 mmHg, what were the percentages of ZnS and PbS in the mixture.

If you can't do it in your head, try to find the answer on paper, if it doesn't look right then do it on a calculator. If it still doesn't look right the just put something random down. GOOD LUCK!!!
