five consecutive integers means they are in numerical order (1,2,3,4) So if the first integer is x then the second is x + 1, the third is x + 2 etc... Sum means you would need to add them all together so you would have:
x + x +1 + x + 2 + x + 3 + x + 4 this should be equal to 5.5 times the middle integer. The middle integer in this case is:
x + 2. Now all you need to do is combine like terms and solve for x to get the first integer.

The 5 integers: x, (x+1), (x+2), (x+3), (x+4)

sum of integers = 5.5 * middle integer

5x + 10 = 5.5 * (x+2) = 5.5x + 11

-0.5x = 1 ----------> x = -2

The sequence is (-2, -1, 0, 1, 2) with a middle integer of 0
