what does the structure of triethylamine look like when reacting with ether. it is soluble.

because the N in the triethylamine does NOT have a hydrogen attached to it, it just has 2 electrons, i dont understand how it reacts with ether? will it take a hydrogen molecule from one of the carbons in the ether?

PLEASE HELP

Problem #1:
Aluminum oxide is formed from the reaction of metallic aluminum with oxygen gas. How many moles of Aluminum are needed to form 3.4 moles of Aluminum oxide?
Hint: This is a simple ratio problem. Just use the molar ratio from the balanced equation. This was covered in 5.09. Mass is not involved.

Problem #2:
Determine the number of grams of NH3 produced by the reaction of 3.5g of hydrogen gas with sufficient nitrogen gas. (Check for diatomic elements). Use the flowchart below for help.

Given quantity in grams--> change to moles----> multiply by ratio from balanced equation -----> convert wanted quantity from moles to grams.

benzoic acid, easy to look up what it looks like.
my question is... when benzoic acid reacts with naoh, it reacts with the oh, the oh takes the H from the oh thats attached to benzoic acid. NOW the NEW o that has 1 bond and 6 electrons around it, is attached to a carbon that is FULL, does it create a double bond and over fill the carbon, or does the molecule stay with a negative charge, i dont understand the rules for when a carbon can have an over full shell.
PLEASE HELPPPP

I'm fed up with creationists saying mutations are always deleterious. Surely there must be at least on recorded example of a benign mutation (in the lab or something).

Lets take a natural magnet.
Certainly we can produce some movement wth it. If we manage the magnetic fields, we can eventually make some use of it. In other words, we will be using the magnet as a source of energy. Like a long life battery.
A small magnet will not have much force, but regarding its life time, the energy released in a long term can be pretty good.
Is there any mechanical device using this force?
How long the magnetic field will be good enough before needing replacement?
Is there any way improove the strength (like taking out that energy faster)
Sorry if this sounds like a stupid question for the experts, but magnets are something that seems to me like totally different from traditional sources.
