those are actually not equations as equations require an = sign. ( 3x + 2 ) ( 2x + 5 ) = 6 x ² + 19x + 10 ( x - 3 ) ( x - a million ) = x ² - 4x + 3 ( 2x - 3 ) ( 5x + a million ) = 10 x ² - 13x - 3 ( 3x - a million ) ( 3x - a million ) = 9 x ² - 6x + a million

-3(x - 2 ) = 5 (2x +1 )

-3x +6 = 10x + 5

6 - 5 = 10x + 3x

1 = 13 x

x = 1/13

- 3 (x - 2 ) = 5 (2 x + 1)

Firstly multiply out the brackets on each side:

-3x + 6 = 10x + 5

Then put all the numbers on one side and the x's on the other ;)

6 - 5 = 10x + 3x

(remember the x's and numbers change signs when they go over to the other side)

Then cancel it all down

1 = 13 x

1 / 13 = x

-3(x-2)=5(2x+1)

-3x+6 = 10x+5 (bringin -3 n 5 inside the bracket)

6-5 = 10x+3x (bringin x term on one side n constants on other side)
1=13x
x=1/13

First: eliminate parenthesis - use the distribution method.

-3(x) - 3(-2) = 5(2x)+5(1)
-3x - (-6) = 10x+5
-3x + 6= 10x+5

Sec: combine "like" terms - subtract 10x from both sides (when you move a term to the opposite side, always use the opposite sign).

-3x+6-10x = 10x-10x+5
-3x+6-10x = 5
-13x + 6 = 5

SEc: subtract 6 from both sides.

-13x + 6-6 = 5-6
-13x = 5-6
-13x = -1

Third: isolate "x" by itself - divide both sides by (-13).

-13x/-13 = -1/-13
x = -1/-13
x = 1/13

-3(x-2) = 5(2x +1)

first multiply -3 into both terms of x and -2
you get -3x+6

then mulitply 5 into both terms of 2x and 1
you get 10x +5

then the equation looks like
-3x+6 = 10x+5

then put both x terms on the left and both integer terms on the right but remember when a term switches sides, the sign also switches to the opposite
-3x-10x = -6 +5
-13x = -1
x=1/13
