multiply everything by x, both sides, you will have

7+2x+1=4x
now you solve the easy one,
7+1=4x-2x
8=2x
x=4

very easy

7/(x+2) +1/(x-1) =4 <-- I assume you mean this. If not, disregard following;
7(x-1) + (x+2)= 4(x-1)(x+2)
7x-7+x+2 = 4x^2 +4x-8
4x^2 -3x-1 = 0
(4x+1)(x-1) = 0
x = 1 or x = 1/4

25 - (x-8)^2 / 4 = (2 + x) (8-x) / 4
25 - x^2 +32x -64 = 16 -2x +8x -x^2
32x -55 = 6x
26x =55
x = 55/26
The staement is true only if x = 55/26
