its says...

-Graph each linear equation.

1.) y = 2x + 1

2.) y = 5 - 2x

3.) y = -x - 2

4.) y = 1/3x - 5

how do i graph theses and can someone show me how to do theses step by step -.-''

5.)Find the slope of the line containing the points (-2,4) & (8,-3)

6.)Use the slope and y-intercept to graph the equation 1/2x + y = 4

7.)Write down the equation in slope-intercept form for the line with the indicated slope, m , and y-intercept, b.
m = 2 , b = 0.75

8.)Write down the equation in slope-intercept form for the line with the indicated slope, m , and y-intercept, b.
m = -5 , b = 0

9.)Find the slope of the line containing the indicating points.
(0,0) and (3,30)

10.)Find the slope of the line containing the indicating points.
(1,-3) and (3,-5)

please tell me how to do theses things and show your work if you can, because i really need to know how to do theses things to past high school im in 10 th grade -.-''

Two cranes are lifting identical steel beams at the same time. One crane is putting twice as much power out as the other. Assuming frictions are negligible, what can you conclude is happening to explain this difference?

Show that the system

x1 + x2 + x3 = y1
2*x1 + 3*x2 + x3 = y2
3*x1 + 5*x2 + x3 = y3

has an infinite number of solutions, provided that (y1, y2, y3) lies on the plane whose equation is y1 - 2*y2 + y3 =0.

The Kentucky Derby is held at the Churchill Downs track in Louisville, Kentucky. The track is one and one-quarter miles in length. One of the most famous horses to win this event was Secretariat. In 1973 he set a Derby record that has never been broken. His average acceleration during the last four quarter-miles of the race was +0.0105 m/s2. His velocity at the start of the final mile (x = +1609 m) was about +16.58 m/s. The acceleration, although small, was very important to his victory. To assess its effect, determine the difference between the time he would have taken to run the final mile at a constant velocity of +16.58 m/s and the time he actually took. Although the track is oval in shape, assume it is straight for the purpose of this problem.

There are two boxes. One contains $100 and the other contains one penny. There are also two computers. One always tells the truth and the other one never tells the truth. You don't know which box contains the $100 dollars or which computer tells the truth. You are allowed to ask one question of one computer. What question should you ask to be sure of selecting the box that contains the $100.

A friend excitedly calls and tells you she found a hefty metallic yellow nodule in a nearby stream that weighs 8.7 ounces! Now, you know there are other minerals besides gold that fit that description, but only gold has a specific gravity of 19.3. ‘Quick,’ you ask ‘what is its volume?’ By dropping the nugget into a graduated cylinder half filled with water she reports that the nugget’s volume is 12.757 cm3. Is your friend rich, or has she gotten excited over nothing? Use whatever calculations you think necessary to come to your conclusion and show your work. You may find the following conversions very useful:

1 gram (gm) = 0.035 ounces (oz)
1 oz = 28.3 gm
